Paris in July - Random Prize!

I have been scanning recent Paris in July Posts and randomly decided to award a prize to A Strong Belief in Wicker for her post on Birds of Paris. What in unusual thing to post about, yet it was so much fun and, for those of us who have been to Paris, it is so Paris - Pigeons!

So in keeping with the first Random Prize for the Pigeons Post, I've included my own French Bird Photo - this is a float in the Tour De France Carnival which precedes the race every day. It's the same pageant every day, just starting in a different town! I loved the Carnival when I was there last year.

Louise, to collect your prize, please just drop me an email soon.

Everyone else - I'll be doing the week 2 summary post on the weekend - so keep your eyes open for the next prize winner! I'm so loving the variety of posts. C'est Bonn!

Oh, I forgot to say how much I like your bird photo too. I'm completely taken up with the Tour, it's so French, so fascinating. How interesting it would be to see the carnival.

Your bird photo is about as wild as it gets in Paris. I'm blogging about a French blog I enjoy, and the author has even written a tour book of Paris. Here's Mine

Congrats, Louise! I think the prize is really well deserved. Great call, Tamara! I had thought what an unusual and refreshing post it was too, about the birds in Paris. Definitely something different! By the way, your bird photo is really cute, too... :)

Listening to Edith Piaf as I type. To my Br.blogger friends-the first time British riders have claimed 4 stage wins in a tour de france. They all will be riding in the Olympics as a team. Good luck.
P.S. I think my French immersion, especially the music is driving my American husband crazy. Although he wouldn't mind good French food!

Oh, what a good idea! I'll have to check the "birds" post. Meanwhile, I love your "bird" -- Have you been watching the tour? Wondering if your guy Cadel will pick up a bit. It could happen. Glued to the telly every night!
