I am currently the proud mother of a gorgeous white Dingo cross Kelpie/Sheppard. I play the piano for fun, I grow my own fruit and veggies, I learn French, and I have a very creative partner. I read when the time is right, I love my nieces and nephews, I collect teapots and I travel anywhere anytime I can.
A spot for me to blog on life in my garden, where I grow things, read things, drink tea and ponder. An important principle for me is living a simple life - to live simply so that others may simply live
About Me
-->
This is a picture of the Sree Meenakshi Temple in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the most amazing temples I've been to. As a Christian I was encouraged as a child to see this type of temple as anything but holy, however, I have felt the presence of God here as much as any church I've been into.
For me, the picture represents my love of travel and exploring new things. It also represents my love of the people of Tamil Nadu, where I have strong connections with a girls school and hostel. The picture reminds me of the people in this world who are disadvantaged and for whom I can advocate.
I use this picture as my blogging ID because it's distinctive, colourful and unique - and so am I. It's also intricate and detailed and encourages me to think beyond the boundaries of my life.
My blog header states that 'Thyme-for-Tea' is a spot for me to blog on life in my garden, where I grow things, read things, drink tea and ponder. These are all important aspects of my celebration of life and important aspects of me caring for myself, providing me with sustenance to carry on with advocating for others. I am also passionate about caring for the earth, because without her, we have no way to sustain ourselves.
