Paris in July is warm, yummy, and sweet. There's nothing better than a french patisserie to to remind you of the delights of Paris in July.
Here in Australia, it's far from Summer now, but there are opportunities to remember Paris here. I recently had the chance to treat myself to a french cake at our local equivalent to La Laduree, the Euro Patisserie. While not quite the glamour of the Laduree on the Champs Elysees, the cakes are pretty reminiscent of my experiences of Paris.

Hi Tamara, I found you through Karen's blog and the challenge you are both hosting.
I have posted a review of French Milk by Lucy Knisley too, which coincidentally also mentions La Laduree: http://www.paperback-reader.co.uk/2010/07/01/french-milk-by-lucy-knisley/
I can't tell you how much I'm loving this! I've already read two French novels, seen a French film which won seven Cesar awards, and asked my mother to write a guest post on Paris as it is her most beloved city. The later is up today, the others are forthcoming. Apparently, I'll be celebrating Paris in July for Day Upon Day! (And that's a good thing!)
I have never been to La Laduree, but it just went on my list for the next visit. I've started my Paris in July posts with remembering my trips and the places I've been. I will follow up with the places yet to see and on my list for next spring.
What a lovely start to this journey! I'll be posting after work today, can hardly wait to start visiting others' blogs!
Hello, I found you through Karen's blog & your mutual challenge as well, which I hope it is not too late to join(I tried several times & there was always some difficulty--mine--with the captcha). Have several ideas--finally reading Colette, a little music, a little reminiscence of trips to the City of Light etc.
If it's all right, please shoot me an email at: thirdstoreywindow AT gmail DOT com
Merci...

This is such a fabulous idea! I also went food today, and can't wait to tour around tonight to see what others have posted. Hope you have a pastry in hand now.

Cheers!
I'm really looking forward to Paris in July. I'm posting quotes from French authors or books set in France for most of this month and am really enjoying reading That Mad Ache. It may also be a great excuse to go and purchase and then eat some Laduree macarons. Thank you for hosting - fantastic idea.
This has really been fun! Looking forward to more Paris...thank you for arranging this virtual vacation!
Audrey
