A spot for me to blog on life in my garden, where I grow things, read things, drink tea and ponder. An important principle for me is living a simple life - to live simply so that others may simply live
Paris in July, the blogging event which brings lovers of Paris from around the world out to play, started last week with an amazingly rich collection of posts. If you're following the posts, you'll agree with me - it's like tasting Paris and all things French in my own lounge room. I've had a glance at many of the posts linked in here and I'm just blown away by the diversity and interest in things from Paris. I'm sorry but I've just been away for a few days, so I haven't prepared my 'summary' post for the last week, but I will do it soon.
Here, I invite you to link in your posts from this week. Visitors can use these My Linky links to follow other bloggers.
Un Petite Defi! (a little challenge)
This week I propose a little challenge for a little gift . Post something about the character of Paris, where you see that character, and/or how you like to celebrate the character of Paris. I believe we can see the many aspects of the complex character of Paris in history, in romance, in stories, films, food, wine, poetry, in their strikes, their festivals, and the sport of Paris.... the choice is endless. Don't forget to link your post here when you're ready.
Hi Tamara! Just posted my second PIJ post. I'm traveling and internet is somewhat limited but to you and all the others, I'll be visiting and catching up as soon as I land on home turf this weekend and won't miss a post! I love this time of year!
What fun. Another Paris in July. I hope by next July I'll be living in France and can inundate everyone with Paris in July posts! My post shows the character of Paris with a highly decorated building. Remember to look up when you're in Paris! Also, on Mondays, I post the meme Dreaming of France. I do it year round for anyone who wants to play along. Here’s my Dreaming of France meme
I just posted "Paris Looks Outward" about ethnographic museums and other Parisian consciousness of the wider world. http://maefood.blogspot.com/2015/07/paris-looks-outward.html
Fun going into the second week of Paris in July. I have just registered a post on a book about Edith Wharton in Paris. It is a historical fiction called "The Age of Desire" by Jeannie Field. Felt likt I was walking the streets of Paris, visiting the saloons, the theatres, the museums in the beginning of the 20th century. It sounded great to be there at that time.
Just stumbled on your blog and how delightful! Is Paris in July an annual event? - I'd love to participate next year as it is one of my all time favorite cities to visit
what great participation you have. I will do a post about character-how fun. I am supposed to be out on a bike ride this AM so off I must go. Enjoy your day.
*Squee* just posted my first Paris in July post for this year ... "Love Affair with Paris". I adore your Paris in July event Tamara!! Off to spend a lovely Sunday afternoon checking out everyone's posts.

Christina Paul, you're welcome to join any time during july - there's no deadline! Yes, it's annual (barring other life events) - so pop back anytime.
