This week I also have some very exciting news - I will be interviewing Patti Miller, the author of Ransacking Paris (which I'm currently reading). Patti is an Aussie Author, who has written several books, and now leads writing workshops. In her book she's very open about herself, and I'm just loving how she expresses herself and her longing to know herself.
Patti Miller is the author of Australia's best-selling life writing texts; Writing Your Life and The Memoir Book, as well a novel, Child, and three memoirs; The Last One Who Remembers, Whatever the Gods Do and the award-winning The Mind of a Thief. She has also had numerous articles and personal essays published in magazines, literary journals and newspapers. Why interview Patti? - because I'm loving her book, because it's clear she loves Paris, and because she's an Aussie. Also because of this encounter..... I was reading the book on my 2 1/2 hour train trip to work one day, when I found myself getting very frustrated that my stop was coming up - I wanted to stay on the train all day and keep reading. When I expressed this to my colleague in the office, he asked 'What are you reading that's so good?'. I told him about the book, it's about Paris, and that it's written by an Aussie. He guessed straight away which book and author and declared his boys went to school with her boys and he know her. After a brief chat with him, I didn't hesitate to contact Patti for an interview for Paris in July. She's agreed. So watch for that post coming up soon!
Now, for this weeks posts - don't forget to link them in here so we can all find them... and if you're new, I'll add your link to my side bar soon.
