Ancient Indian Proverb
Treat the earth well it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. we do not inherit the earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our children.

The older I get, the more meaningful these proverbs become. I see so many things I've always 'taken for granted' (the earth, teacher pensions) up for grabs. It's so scary, which is one of the many reasons I need faith.
